thanks, yeh what we do at our trails is we take of the first 6 inches of soft organic soil and use it as fill. so we have the whole trail running on clay, its easier to get it smooth and fast and it doesnt get eroded by rain, we dig small drainage ditches at the side, you can see this in some of my pics.
